IN THIS GUIDE · Include prior immigration history in the review before focusing on payment
Preserve the actual previous record
Bring available notices and a dated account of prior applications or decisions. Distinguish a document's wording from your recollection of a conversation. Do not assume an old issue is irrelevant because the new proposal involves a large payment.
Ask what needs individual assessment
The reviewer should consider the actual history and current process. A prior event does not justify a generic promise of approval or refusal. Identify missing records and unresolved questions without inventing a conclusion from the programme's headline description.
Keep payment and legal requirements distinct
Use current official individual or corporate instructions and the relevant family terms. The government-described gift is not an EB-5 investment expected to produce a return. A nonrefundable processing charge should not be mistaken for a refundable reservation of an immigration outcome.
Wait for verified milestones when planning relocation
Track notices and requested information carefully. General statements about speed do not settle an individual timeline. Report changes in circumstances and avoid treating a payment receipt as permission to relocate or begin employment.
Use the current official financial terms
The official terms describe a nonrefundable US$15,000 processing fee per person and, following successful vetting and official instructions, a US$1 million individual gift or US$2 million gift per corporate-sponsored employee. Each eligible joining spouse or unmarried child under 21 adds US$15,000 and a US$1 million gift. Corporate terms include 1% annual maintenance and a 5% transfer charge with a new background check; a replacement employee is not automatically approved. Confirm all current instructions and additional charges. Payment does not replace EB-1 or EB-2 eligibility, admissibility or visa availability.
