How can we show an employee's contribution to a team implementation?

THE DIRECT ANSWER

Identify the tasks the person actually handled and the records or knowledgeable contacts supporting that account. Team success should not be attributed entirely to one employee.

Keep the scope of contribution accurate

Explain whether the employee tested, configured, trained or made decisions in the project. Preserve the distinction between participating and leading. Credible detail about a real contribution is preferable to an inflated claim that conflicts with the company's records.

Reconstruct the implementation by phase and attribute each deliverable to its real author. Collect dated tickets, configuration logs, training materials, reviews, correspondence, and statements from people who observed the employee’s work. Explain what the applicant decided, tested, corrected, or taught, then connect those acts to the proposed American assignment. The inquiry asks whether the person has special organizational knowledge applied internationally, or advanced knowledge of its processes and procedures; teamwork alone is insufficient. Separately document the qualifying corporate relationship and foreign work performed full time and continuously for one year in a managerial, executive, or specialized-knowledge capacity within the relevant preceding three-year period. The common mistake is claiming sole ownership of a team result, inviting contradictions from source records.

Hypothetical example: A London agricultural-robotics developer wants an integration engineer to support its U.S. subsidiary. Sprint records show the engineer configured the company’s sensor interface, diagnosed failures, and trained two deployment teams, while another employee designed the core hardware. The petition narrative preserves that division. Selected logs, version histories, training agendas, and supervisor explanations establish the engineer’s contribution and its relevance to the U.S. duties without recasting participation as authorship of the whole platform.
